Homeowner’s Insurance

Click here to read a good article on finding homeowners’ insurance for dog owners.

“INSURANCE COVERAGE DISCRIMINATION – No liability policy or surety bond issued pursuant to this act or any other act may prohibit coverage from any specific breed of dog.” (from the Pennsylvania Dog Law) Please note that this merely protects a consumer from having an insurance company issue an insurance policy with an exclusion for a dog based on its breed. Insurance companies can, however, choose not to insure based on nearly any reason, including breed designation, even if the dog has never displayed signs of aggression.”

Foremost Insurance Company has been very progressive with issuing insurance policies to consumer who own pit bulls.

State Farm Insurance does not discriminate against pit bulls or any other particular breed of dog.
