Laika

Week 3
Laika is a superstar! She has learned all of her commands, walks
beautifully on a leash and is getting increasingly more comfortable greeting
new friends. But, she so badly wants a home of her own. She is
such a little sweetheart and has struggled a bit with the loss of her
family. Her handlers love to spend time with her and have taught her
all sorts of things. She keeps them laughing with her "down" command.
She gets so excited that every "down" quickly becomes a "roll over!"
What a girl!

Week 2
Laika is off to a great start! She is walking nicely on her leash,
learning lots of new commands and becoming more and more social every day.
She is a little shy around new people so her handlers have been taking her
along with them to socialize in the evening. She goes from table to
table and gives each new person a sniff. Sometimes she stays for pets
and sometimes she just continues along her route. She's getting a
little more comfortable every day and beginning to find her way. Way
to go Laika!

Week 1
This little girl is breaking hearts all over the prison! She already
has her handlers wrapped around her little paws and now she's working on the
rest of the group. She's doing amazingly well with her obedience
skills, is a doll on the leash and has come to an understanding with her
handlers about the crate. She did not like it one bit at first, but a
few fun toys and a week later she's loving it! Keep your eye on her.
She won't be here long!

UPDATE
This little girl is going to be one to watch! She is absolutely
beautiful and ready to learn. Check back often to see how she is progressing during her
stay at the prison. Laika is a
lovely American Eskimo Dog who is available for adoption through
Eskie Rescuers
