Week 4
We love Georgie! He is such a laid back guy that it's hard to resist
his charms. He gets along great with everyone, two legs and four legs.
And, he's just the sweetest boy. It's hard to believe this dog came
from such a horrific background and still has such a sweet, good-hearted,
trusting nature. He has truly given humans a second chance. Now
it's our turn to give him the chance he deserves at a loving home. All
Georgie needs is a secure yard (he is a sighthound after all) and people he
can trust to love and care for him for the rest of his days. In
return, you'll get Georgie...a sweet, lovable boy who loves to be petted, to
play with his squeaky toys, eat gourmet meals, run like the wind and snuggle
at your feet. What more could anyone want!

Week 3
Georgie has had another fun week with his new friends at the prison.
His handlers say that he is the pickiest eater they have ever met! The
rest of us think that Georgie's been on to them since day one and just likes
to see what they'll cook up for him next! Georgie is just as sweet as
they come. He thoroughly enjoys the company of his new doggie friends
and loves to play chase. He's been known to swipe a toy or two from
his pals and then wait for them to chase him all around the doggie yard!
It's so much fun to watch this beautiful boy running full speed through the
play yard. He is truly a sight to behold!

Week 2
Everyone loves Georgie! He is slowly coming out of his shell and
getting more comfortable with the people around him. He has started to
gain the confidence to approach people and sniff. If he likes what he
smells, he even stays for snuggles! This is such a big step for this
sweet boy and we're so thrilled for him. Georgie's handlers are
working on hard on recall skills with Georgie. They've discovered his
love of pepperoni and will be using lots of it this week to help him with
his training. Keep up the great work, Georgie!!

Week 1
What a boy! Georgie has surprised us all with his eagerness to start
overcoming his fears and anxieties. In just one week, he has already
started to approach the other handlers, play in the doggie pool and walk
nicely on his leash. He adores playing with the other dogs. He
and Belle and Bailey just play and play and play! He also hopped right
into the tub for his first bath. He loved it and came out looking so
very handsome. Georgie is such a sweet and gentle boy. He will
make some lucky person incredibly happy!!

UPDATE
Georgie's first day is today and he's all set to get started! He's a
gorgeous Afghan mix who is about one and a half years old.
