Week 7
Let the countdown begin.  Brady has just a few more days until he heads to his new forever home at the end of the week.  He has been such a joy to watch since he started the program two months ago.  His family has been waiting very patiently and has used their extra time to read up on training books, talk with our trainer and learn all they can so that they can keep Brady's training going without missing a beat!  What a lucky boy our Brady is.  We wish him all the best!

Week 6
Brady let us know today that he will happily tolerate having his nails trimmed if he can also get a belly rub at the same time.  Maybe we should try that with everyone!  Brady continues to do very well with his classes.  He still tests his handlers about every third day when he "forgets" how to walk politely on the leash, but they're getting wise to this routine.  He looked ever so handsome today in his new Halloween scarf and he loved all of the new toys that were delivered.  Keep up the good work, Brady...your family is waiting!!

Week 5
Brady continues to improve little by little each week.  He is still a puppy at heart, but he is always willing to try the new things that his handlers teach him.  This week he decided it would be more fun to watch the other dogs play than to be in the middle of it.  His handlers said he would run around the perimeter and wag his tail while the other dogs wrestled around with each other.  Wonder he'll be up to next week?!?!?

Week 4
Brady is such a funny boy.  He always wants to be a part of whatever is going on.  Whether it's somebody getting their nails clipped, going out for playtime, getting snuggles from the handlers or just being out and about, Brady wants to be a part of it!  He is so wonderful with everyone he meets, both human and canine, that he often gets his wish.  He's mastered most of his commands and is starting to work on some new and exciting tricks.  Brady is still working hard on his leash walking.  As with any young dog, he has good days and stubborn days.  But, his handlers say the good days are starting to outweigh the stubborn ones.  Yeah, Brady!!!!

Week 3
Brady continues to do very well with his training.  It's hard to believe that he was the last of the four to enter the program because he has come leaps and bounds.  His leash walking gets better and better with each passing week and he's really starting to develop some self-control and focus!  He got a new rope toy this week which he has been playing with ever since, except when the other pups are around and then it's PLAYTIME!!!!!!!

Week 2
Brady is just laughs galore.  He is so sweet and couldn't be happier to meet new people and new dogs.  He went to WoofStock last weekend for a visit and his new family stopped by.  They all had a chance to go for  a walk and Brady wowed them with his new leash manners.  Now, he's working on following directions while there other distractions nearby.  He has had a great week and we are so proud of him!!

Week 1
We think Brady might be part duck!!  This week we learned that he loves water, any kind of water.  He likes to play in the rain, splash around in his water dish and dunk himself in the big water bucket in the doggie yard.  He has provided quite a lot of laughs since he arrived last week!  He has been working extra hard on his leash manners and is coming along nicely.  He also has been doing an outstanding job with his crate manners and housebreaking.  His handler is so proud of him!  Brady also likes to "people watch."  His handler says that sometimes when they're outside. Brady will just sit down next to him and watch people walking by or playing sports.

NEW UPDATE
Brady has come through his first few days in near perfect form!!  His handlers report that he is already getting along with all of the other pups in the program and he has been 100% accident free in the cell and crate.  He is a beautiful lab/chow mix who is available for adoption through The Phoenix Rescue Group.  Stay tuned for next week's update.
