ADOPTED!!!

Week 11
Bailey got a special delivery this week...new books! No, he hasn't yet
learned to read, but his handlers requested new trick books since he
finished the old book weeks ago. This week, they'll be teaching him
all sorts of fun new things and if we know Bailey, he'll be loving every
minute of it!

Week 10
Bailey and Belle... These two are such a hoot to watch when they are
romping and playing together in the doggie yard. Bailey loves to play
with Belle so much that his handlers have worked out a training regimen that
includes playtime as a reward. They also use Belle as a distraction
when they're doing work with Bailey. Sometimes it works, but sometimes
the handlers lose to an all out game of chase. Bailey is thoroughly
enjoying the doggie pools and spends much of his time completely wet!

Week 9
Bailey had another great week of playing with his friends and lounging in
the pool. He has mastered his "social butterfly" skills and would now
be a perfect addition to any home. He greets everyone with all of his
paws firmly on the floor and is happy to provide extensive doggie kisses to
anyone who'll lean down to his level. Bailey has stolen the hearts of
everyone here and we're so proud of how far he's come. Way to go
Bailey!!!!

Week 8
We love this boy! It's always hard not to get attached to the dogs in
the program and Bailey is no exception. He is sweet, affectionate and
loyal to the core. He's a star in his obedience classes and welcomes
each new dog as if they were his long lost best friend. He's overcome
all of the bad habits that landed him in the program and now he's truly
ready for a fresh start. He's a fantastic dog and now he's just
waiting patiently for someone else to notice what all of us already know.
Does he sound like the perfect match for you?

Week 7
Bailey's handlers have learned that the squeaker from a toy works magic on
Bailey. Anytime they have trouble getting his attention, they squeak
the squeaker and he comes running. He has found a soul mate in Belle.
The two of them have more fun romping around the doggie yard. It's so
much fun to watch. Bailey still thinks the doggie pools are fabulous.
He loves to hop in, get completely wet and then find the nearest person so
he can shake it off and share the cool!

Week 6
This sweetheart of a boy just keeps getting better with each passing week.
He was out for a Met & Greet last week and just wowed everyone he met.
People couldn't believe how well behaved he was and what nice manners he
has. He was perfectly happy to lay on the floor to have his belly
rubbed, but especially liked having so many opportunities to charm people
into petting him. He is such a wonderful friend to have. We're
all keeping our fingers crossed that his lucky someone will come along soon
and take him home.

Week 5
Bailey had another great week. He's becoming an obedience class star
and has really come to love the people he shares each day with. He is
such a gorgeous boy with his smooth black coat and adorable white feet.
And, those eyes! Who could resist those twinkling blue eyes with just
the right lend of mischief and sweetness. Bailey will be out at
Borders Books and Music in Camp Hill this Saturday from 11-2. He would
love to meet you so we hope you'll stop by for a visit!

Week 4
Bailey is really coming along with his obedience training this week.
He's working hard on the "stay" command. His handler can now give him
the command and walk 30 feet away from Bailey. Great work! He
also learned that fetch is a lot more fun if you actually bring the ball
back. This week he's been playing a lot more with his handlers.
Bailey wasn't very interested in people when he first arrived and who could
blame him after the way he'd been treated. But, he is really coming
around. He's started to crave attention and is doing better at asking
for it with good manners. Keep up the good work Bailey!

Week 3
Well, Bailey just may be part DUCK! The doggie pools arrived this week
and Bailey was overjoyed! He hopped right in and started trying to
catch the fish (you know, the ones that are painted on the pool)! He
loves the water. At first, he would get in and splash around, but now
he has a new trick. He hops into the pool, flops down and lets his
head hang over the side. His handlers say it's like Bailey's spa!
When he's all done, like any good dog, he finds the person closest to him
and starts to shake, shake, shake! During his training sessions,
Bailey has been working on stays and recalls and doing very well with both.
This big guy may come around sooner than we thought! Keep your eye on
him!

Week 2
This week, Bailey is learning how to ask for attention...the right way!
Bailey has had very little social training so he's very unsure of himself
when it comes to being around people. But, that's not trouble at all.
Manners are an easy thing to learn with some patience and persistence and
his handlers have both! He's been working so hard on learning
his basic skills and he's really coming along nicely. He's trying
extra hard to practice sitting when he wants to be petted. That might
take a little longer, but he'll get it! He has so much to learn,
sometimes we have to remind ourselves to break it down into little pieces so
he doesn't get frustrated or overwhelmed. Despite all the work, Bailey
is always ready to try! He loves the training and adores his
handlers...and everyone else he's met! This one's a diamond in the
ruff!

Week 1
Bailey's first week was full of adventures! This boy has so much to
learn and the best part is that he loves the training! He and Annie
became fast friends and Roscoe likes him too. He's been quite a hit
with the staff as well, especially with those beautiful eyes. Bailey
is an excellent passenger in the car and was extremely well behaved on his
trip to the vet. He's had a ball playing this week and the beginnings
of his training show a great deal of promise. He even had a little
goofy moment this week when he thought for a second about eating a frog that
was in the doggie yard. He thought better of it after the frog started
jumping and jogged on back to his handler to head in for the night.
Keep up the good work, Bailey!
